SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING FOR SEASON DEVELOPMENT
____________________________________________________________________________________
Portland, Ore. Holly Kellar, most recently the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, will join the Oregon Symphony as Director of Marketing for Season Development on May 15, Symphony Vice President of Marketing and Development Graham McReynolds announced. "Holly is bright, articulate and comes to us with a wealth of experience. She also shares our belief that audience retention is critical for the future well-being of the organization and that the Oregon Symphony is rich with potential. Her energy, expertise and passion for the music will be a superb addition to the Marketing and Development team," McReynolds said.
In her previous position with the CSO, Kellar oversaw all aspects of marketing, advertising, public relations and communication and generated annual ticket revenue of approximately $3.75 million, including $1.9 million in subscription income. Prior to that, she was Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. From 1995 to 1997 Kellar was Manager of Marketing and Student Services at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien in Vienna, Austria, where she also was Concert Coordinator for the U.S. Embassy's Project Harmony. Kellar earned a B.A. in music from Grinnell College in 1993.
As Director of Marketing for Season Development, Kellar will work alongside Director of Marketing for Audience Development Sandra Snyder. The two newly-created positions are part of a staff restructuring that combines the Symphony's Marketing and Development Departments.
